(RNN) - A man chasing a convenience store customer with a live alligator while asking for beer sounds like a complete fabrication.
Fortunately, there is video.
It was first uploaded by a Facebook user named Robby Stratton, then reposted by the page Only in Duval. It is unknown if Stratton is the same man carrying the gator in the video.
Warning: The video contains mild language.
The man walked into a Jacksonville, FL, convenience store yelling, "Y'all got beer still? Y'all got beer still? Y'all ain't out, are y'all?"
Then he spotted a customer holding a case of beer.
"Is he taking the last bit of beer? Are you taking the last bit," the man asked.
Before the customer could even answer, he was on the run, darting around the store to the amusement of others inside.
The only thing that made the gator-wielding man stop was beer. He walked into the refrigerator and grabbed a case. As he walked towards the register, he let out a loud "go Gators!"
The man told WTLV it was all done in the name of fun and games. The alligator's mouth was taped shut the whole time.
“I knew everybody in there,” he said.
The people in the store may have been laughing, but the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is not.
They are investigating the incident. Even so, it is unknown if what the man did is against any law.
