Florida Man Accused of Shooting Wife During Argument

HOLLY HILL, Fla. (AP) — A central Florida man is accused of shooting his wife twice during an argument while their children were in the home.

Holly Hill police say 42-year-old Anibal Muniz Jr. faces an attempted first-degree murder charge and remains in jail without bond. His 47-year-old wife Jeanette Ramos was taken to a hospital Monday. Her condition wasn't immediately known.

A police report states that Muniz was in bed when Ramos entered the bedroom, yelling and accusing him of cheating on her. Muniz says he told his wife he wasn't cheating but she kept hitting him on the leg.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal (http://bit.ly/1RbX902 ) reports Muniz called 911 as their 19-year-old son could be heard crying and telling him mom she was going to be ok.

It's unclear whether Muniz has a lawyer.
