TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida is expected to have a budget surplus in the coming year.

The annual forecast was released on Tuesday and shows Florida should have enough revenue in 2015 to meet its budget needs for schools and health care.

The state's budget surplus will be about $635 million during the fiscal year that starts in July 2016.

Senate President Andy Gardiner said in a statement that he wants to use the surplus to boost school funding and cut taxes by $250 million.
