Florida inauguration swearing in Tuesday

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - It's Inauguration Day in Florida.

Newly elected leaders will be sworn into office, including a new governor.

WTXL ABC 27's Jada Williams was live at the Historic Florida Capitol Tuesday morning.

The Inauguration is set to begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday right at the Florida Historic Capitol, and much like Monday, you can expect traffic delays.

WTXL will contniue to bring you coverage from all inaugural events including the swearing in.

Road closing information provided by the Leon County Sheriff's Office:

Please use caution today driving in and around the downtown area during the Governor's Inauguration activities. Please make note of the road closures listed and make sure to travel an alternative route, expect traffic delays and give yourself extra time for your commute both during the morning and evening.

The following areas will have road closures during the Governor’s Inaugural events on Tuesday, Jan. 8th:

6:15 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

•Wahnish Way will be closed from Bob Hayes Way to Osceola Street.

•Okaloosa Street will be closed from Perry Street to Wahnish Way.

6:30 a.m. – 8 a.m.

•One southbound lane of Monroe Street will be closed from Jefferson Street to Madison Street.

8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

•Monroe Street will be closed from Gaines Street to College Avenue.

•Apalachee Parkway will be closed from Franklin Boulevard to Monroe Street.

•Jefferson Street will be closed from Adams Street to Monroe Street.

•One lane of Madison Street will be closed from Bronough Street to Monroe Street.

•One lane of Duval Street will be closed from Madison Street to College Avenue.

4 p.m. – 11 p.m.

•Madison Street will be closed from Railroad Avenue to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

•Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will be closed from Gaines Street to Jefferson Street.
