Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL) - On Monday, the Florida Highway Patrol, a division of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, launched the Arrive Alive initiative.
The campaign is an effort among various highway safety, law enforcement, and engineering entities to reduce fatalities and injuries in Florida highway crashes.
Executive Director of the DHSMV Terry L. Rhodes said that the initiative is, "the most comprehensive collaborative, data-driven campaign strictly devoted to safer roadways and communities."
Arrive Alive will combine law enforcement, media outreach, and road safety assessments to promote safe driving habits and drive down the amount of fatal crashes that increased in Florida last year.
