TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- The Florida Highway Patrol has started its inaugural "Stuff the Charger" Thanksgiving Food Drive.
They are partnering with food banks across the state of Florida to collect donations for families in need.
Until November 6th the patrol will be collecting non-perishable items so the donations will arrive in time for Thanksgiving.
Lieutenant Ryan Martina said it's important to collect enough food by then so "all residents of the state of Florida do not go without a Thanksgiving meal this year."
They will be taking donations in the lobby of the Neil Kirkman building on Apalachee parkway and at the Florida Highway Patrol station at 2100 Mahan drive.
