TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Florida Highway officials have a message for those traveling for spring break: Don't Drive Drunk.
The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles is increasing patrols heading into Spring Break.
According to officials, more citations are issued in the month of March than any other month of the year.
They say, last March there were over 30,000 crashes in the state of Florida with 400 of them involving drunk drivers.
DHSMV is also reminding the public not to text and drive. Officials are working to make sure everyone has a safe spring break.
