TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - We all know the story of Cam Brown, his fight, his love for life. He won't be forgotten by those that knew him.
The Florida High graduate lost his battle with osteocarcoma in November, but his Alma mater, immortalized Cam forever Saturday in one of his favorite places.
Florida High's weight room, Cam's sanctuary, was transformed Saturday with brand new weights, his number 32 prominently placed, and a banner donning that classic smile hung high.
Cam, forever remembered at the school he loved, in a place he loved. And for Florida High, honoring Cam was the least they could do, for a guy they loved just as much.
"He's everywhere, but now you don't forget what he represented. It's just not Cam. It's the Warrior that was within him, what he represented to the school and how much we loved him. He's always going to be on out mind when we work out because he's right behind our head," said Tyrone McGriff, the athletic director for Florida High. "That's not just something in tribute, that's something symbolic. We're going to keep his memory in our mind."
