TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida High graduate Cam Brown, who bravely fought cancer, passed away early Saturday morning.
Cam was diagnosed with osteocarcoma in May, but vowed to play football again, as he was signed to play football at Western Carolina.
To help stop the spread of the cancer, Cam had his leg amputated this summer, and inspired many by returning to the gym to work out just days later.
"Most people would be like sitting around at home, sad because they lost their leg or something, but I'm like no, it's just one step of many," he said at the time. "If you turn it into a positive, it's not something that you have to deal with, it's something that you get to live with."
