TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Governor Rick Scott wants the state to put nearly $23 million into the budget for the state's child welfare system.
The funding would go towards hiring more than 270 additional case managers and increasing safety services for families whose children are at risk of being taken away from their home.
Governor Scott says it will help children who are victims of abuse or neglect by coordinating care across the state.
