TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- The mascot for the Florida Department of Citrus is getting a makeover.
Captain Citrus was born in 2011 as a big, fat talking orange wearing a green cape. Now, he's being transformed into a buff Marvel Comics superhero who will fight evil alongside Captain America and the other Avengers. The idea is to promote the benefits of orange juice as consumers increasingly turn to other beverage choices.
