FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) - A Florida dad has been arrested after authorities say his 2-year-old son got hold of a gun and accidently shot himself inside their southwest Florida apartment.
Fort Myers Police did not say how the boy got the gun, but blamed the parents for being careless. The hospital called police Thursday to report the child's injuries.
WINK reports Rashunn Hill Jr., the boy's father, was charged with culpable negligence for allowing the child to access the gun.
The child's injuries were reportedly minor.
