EASTPOINT, Fla. (The News Service of Florida) - Community members aren't the only people providing aid to those in need following the wildfire.
Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis visited the Eastpoint Church of God to help prepare and serve food to the people seeking shelter.
Patronis says, he plans to stay in Eastpoint to help each family who experienced loss due the fire and make sure they know exactly how to prepare ahead.
"We will back here probably within 24 hours with our consumer services division," said Patronis. "We will be helping folks who are filing insurance claims start the claims process to try to get the money they are entitled to as soon as humanly possible."
Patronis says, the different services coming together shows Florida's resiliency.
