TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Over at the capitol this weekend, Children's Week is getting underway and will last until Friday, March 31st.
There will be numerous events all week long.
Last night's event featured children's hand art which is currently hung throughout the capitol lobby for folks to see and will be on display the remainder of the week.
The events continued today at a town hall discussing education equality, where middle and high schooler's were given the chance to ask questions to state and local officials.
Children's Week State Coordinator Jason Zaborske says he thinks it's important for children and youth to come voice their opinions and ask questions.
More events will be taking place all week long including free breakfasts, lunches, story book readings, an awards banquet and more town hall discussion.
