TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida has been ranked by WalletHub as the 13th most stressed state and no.3 in highest divorce rate.
Georgia scored above Florida, beating them at no.8 for most stressed state.
In order to determine the most and least stressed states, WalletHub’s analysts compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across four key dimensions: work-related stress, money-related stress, family-related stress, and health and safety-related stress.
Using 33 metrics, they were able to calculate the overall score for each state and D.C.
Florida and Georgia both scored high in the "family-related stress rank".
WalletHub reports that Georgians, however, experience more stress than Floridians in all four categories across the board.
Georgia was tied with Michigan for the fifth state with the fewest average hours of sleep per night. Georgia was also tied with Alabama for the second state with the lowest average credit score.
