TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Are you thinking about moving to a different home this summer?
If so, Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam has some advice when it comes to hiring companies that will move your furniture and belongings.
"Consumers should do their research and understand the contract before signing with a moving company so they are fully aware of all terms and conditions, including what to do if an item is broken or lost," said Putnam.
Putnam says to make sure the company is register as a mover with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Make sure you get three estimates from different moving companies. Get referrals from friends.
