TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida A&M Marching 100 is busy preparing for their Rose Bowl Performance, but practicing isn't the only thing to worry about.
The band is also raising money to get to California.
WTXL ABC's Jada Williams was live Tuesday morning with information about their efforts.
The easiest way to make donations is by coming out to the Marching 100 Celebration on Tuesday evening.
This community driven fundraiser is all for the sake of helping the band reach their goal of $400,000 to get the members over to California for the Rose Bowl Parade.
But it's not just about raising money. Community members are invited out just to say congratulation to the band on this huge accomplishment.
And the love from the community is a big factor behind the band's success.
That celebration starts at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the North Florida Fairgrounds.
The band will be performing in the Rose Parade the morning of January 1, 2019 in Pasadena, California.
People can also donate to the band in other ways. The band is selling t-shirts. You can also text, or you can submit donations online at this FAMU site.
