VALDOSTA, Ga., (WTXL) -- Flags are flying at half-staff across Georgia Friday.
Georgia Governor Nathan Deal issued the executive order in honor of the five nursing students who lost their lives in a crash on Wednesday in Ellabelle, and two other students who were seriously injured.
Governor Deal says it is a mark of respect for those affected by this tragedy.
Flags will be flown at half-staff until sunset Friday.
