TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) - Florida Governor Rick Scott sent a memorandum out requesting flags be flown at half-staff in honor of the loss of the Leon County Sheriff Larry Campbell.
Sheriff Campbell lost his battle with cancer Wednesday, December 24, 2014.
Governor Scott direct the flags of the United States and the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff at the County Courthouse of Leon County, Florida, at the City Hall of Tallahassee, Florida, at the Leon County Sheriff's Office in Tallahassee, Florida, and at the State Capitol in Tallahassee, Florida from sunrise to sunset on Tuesday, December 30, 2014.
Campbell was laid to rest Tuesday surrounded by family, friends and several from the law enforcement community.
