ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (AP) - Florida's 500th anniversary is going to be a highlight of a Cabinet meeting being held in the nation's oldest city continuously occupied by European descents.
Florida's top elected officials are meeting Tuesday at Flagler College in St. Augustine.
The agenda is light on substance but promises to be heavy on pomp.
A Ponce de Leon re-enactor is slated to be there, along with Gov. Rick Scott, Attorney General Pam Bondi, Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater and Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam.
De Leon was the Spanish explorer who led the first European expedition to Florida in 1513.
