ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — The Orange County Sheriff's Office has a message for Floridians: Don't drink and dial 911.
WPLG-TV (http://bit.ly/19fZe2F ) reports that authorities arrested a 60-year-old Orlando man after he called the emergency system four times in two hours. Butler Armstrong had called 911 Thursday to report a domestic battery and theft. He claimed his girlfriend stole items from his home.
But police say the man began drinking after their initial investigation and called later that day to report other missing items. Authorities say Armstrong also told operators he wanted to find his girlfriend and "chop her up" with a machete. He then made two more calls, demanding that a deputy come to his house or that he would handle the situation himself.
A deputy then visited Armstrong's home and arrested him.
