PANAMA CITY, Fla. (AP) - Florida's two legislative leaders are hitting the road again to tout the recent session.
Senate President Don Gaetz and House Speaker Will Weatherford are scheduled to make stops Wednesday and Thursday in the state's Panhandle, including Pensacola and Panama City.
The two Republicans are using the second leg of their tour to bring attention to legislation and funding increases approved by the Legislature. The session ended in early May.
The legislative leaders are visiting the University of West Florida, meeting with business leaders and speaking to the Fort Walton Beach Rotary Club.
The visits could fuel speculation that that this is a dress rehearsal for a future campaign tour by Weatherford. He has not publicly stated what he plans to do when he leaves office 17 months from now.
