TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - An oil drilling moratorium in the eastern Gulf of Mexico was unanimously passed by a Florida Senate committee.
An identical resolution unanimously passed its first committee in the florida House of Representatives.
Currently, there's a drilling ban off of Florida's Gulf Coast through 2022.
Federal legislation to extend the ban has not been passed.
