VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Valdosta firefighters say five people are now without a home following a fire at an apartment complex on New Year's day.
The Fire Department says the blaze was started Friday afternoon at an apartment complex on Northside Dr.
They say the blaze, which started in a bedroom, was confined to one apartment.
About 30% of the apartment was severely damaged, while nearly half had smoke and heat damage.
The fire remains under investigation.
