Five Local Residents Charged in Federal Tax Conspiracy

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - A federal grand jury charges 10 people, including five from Tallahassee and Quincy With conspiracy and stealing governments funds, totaling over $10 million.

The case resulted from an investigation with the IRS, where they say for three years, the group took the personal information of nearly three-thousand people, and filed tax returns under those names, therefore, receiving tax refunds.

Ja'baree Allen, Jasmine Robinson, and Jazzman Simmons, all from Tallahassee, as well as Ronald Brown and Rashard McMillian of Quincy were handed down a 14 count indictment Thursday.

Their trial is set for December 14th.
