Your First Alert: Four-to-Go-Forecast for Wednesday. We are continuing to track Hurricane Michael as it nears the Florida Panhandle. This storm is a category 4 hurricane with sustained winds of 130 mph and stronger gusts. Although the center of the storm is forecast to make landfall near Panama City, the Big Bend and south Georgia will still experience heavy rain and very strong winds. These conditions will remain in place through the next day or so as Michael nears the coast, passes over the region, and moves away from the area.
