MADISON COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - Firefighters said they responded to two mobile home fires just hours apart from one another.
Madison Fire Rescue said that they were called to two different mobile homes on Friday regarding reports of fires.
They said they were called to the first fire before 1 p.m. on SE Chilkat Street in Madison County. When firefighters arrived, the mobile home was in flames.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames without any injuries, although they said the home was a total loss.
The second fire happened around two hours after the first at Rocky Ford Road on Friday. When they arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the residence.
Firefighters initially believed that someone might have been inside the mobile home and forced entry into the building. They didn't find anyone inside and MFR said that they then focused back onto putting out the fire.
Multiple agencies assisted with putting out the fire to include units from Cherry Lake, Madison, Pinetta, and Lee fire rescue teams.
MFR has not released a cause for either of the mobile home fires nor an estimate for how much damage was done.
