WACO, Texas (AP) — Firefighters and first responders from all over Texas are gathering in Waco to honor those who died in last week's fertilizer plant explosion in West.

A parade of fire trucks and other first responders' vehicles passed through Waco Thursday before a memorial service for first responders.

At least 14 people died in the April 17 explosion at West Fertilizer, including 10 first responders. Thousands of people were expected to attend the memorial service at the Ferrell Center in Waco, about 90 miles south of Dallas.

Family members were escorted into the ceremony on the Baylor University campus. In front were 12 flag-draped caskets. Large photographs were placed in front of each.

President Barack Obama, U.S. Sen. John Cornyn and Gov. Rick Perry are expected to speak.
