MITCHELL COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - The Pelham Fire Department said that a family is displaced after a fire destroyed their home.
Firefighters said that they got a call about a fire at a home on 1717 Old Pelham Road around 5 a.m. By the time they got to the home, the roof had already collapsed in on the building.
They said that though the home was a total loss, there were no injuries.
The family who lived in the house was out of town at the time. Firefighters said that the family has been notified about the damage.
They said that the cause of the fire was not yet known.
