MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) A local gun safety expert stopped by WTXL to talk about how to safely handle firearms.
Ryan Felton, owner of Felton Training Group, spoke about how to properly use, maintain, and store guns. Gun safety is a perennial issue, brought back into the forefront after last weekend's deadly accident in Waycross, Georgia that left one girl dead.
"The biggest thing comes down to training," said Felton. "In most of these accidents, people have not gone through the proper training channels. We always recommend courses to start out, and learning the proper gun safety, and of course, keeping your gun safely stored."
