TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Professional Firefighters are taking time to deliver holiday gifts to children in need in the Capital City.

The firefighters helped wrap gifts that were delivered to the Hope House Christmas and two adopted families.

Every year, they have Fire Truck Santa.

An emergency shelter for families with kids get to experience Santa coming out of the fire truck and giving gifts to the children.

One organizer says, it's important not only for the kids, but the parents as well.

"The kids just scream and go running from the shelter towards Santa Clause yelling "Santa"!" said Danielle Bowman. "And its like super cute every single year they love it. I love to see their faces. its just wonderful. It's a wonderful event and we're so grateful the fire department does this for us every year."

Organizers for the homeless coalition are grateful for the fire department doing the holiday gift delivery.
