DAVENPORT, FL. (AP) - One person died in a mobile home fire in Davenport.
Polk County Fire Rescue officials say the mobile home was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived just before 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Officials say family members who live nearby couldn't make contact with their relative who lived in the home. As soon as firefighters put out the fire, they began searching for signs that someone was inside. The search turned up the body.
One person died in a mobile home fire in Davenport.
The state fire marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire. The Polk County Sheriff's Office will conduct a death investigation.
