TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A fire in Tallahassee caused $150,000 in damage Saturday.
It happened just before 5:00 a.m. in the 900 block of Bates Drive. That's off Country Club Drive on the city's southeast side.
The Tallahassee Fire Department says the first crews to arrive reported heavy fire and smoke from one part of a two-story building. Firefighters put out the flames and discovered no one was home when the fire started. Neighbors called the fire in.
TFD was able to contain the fire in one apartment, sparing the rest of the building. They say no one was injured.
No word on what caused the fire. It's still under investigation.
