TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The City of Tallahassee Fire Department extinguished a house fire on Clear Lake Lane early Wednesday morning.
TFD arrived on the scene of a fully involved fire at 1:34 a.m. on Wednesday, said Sarah Cooksey, a TFD spokesperson.
When firefighters arrived, there was heavy fire and smoke coming from the front of the home and coming through the roof.
TFD says it took 10 minutes to get the fire under control, but they stayed on scene for several hours making sure the fire was out.
They say four children and two adults were displaced by the fire, though no one appeared to have suffered injuries. The Red Cross is assisting the residents of the house.
The fire caused an estimated $200,000 in damages and is a cause of the fire is currently unknown.
