QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) - Officials are investigating the cause of a fire at an abandoned house that broke out early Wednesday morning.

No one was hurt in the fire, which happened about 1 a.m. on Second Street, the Quincy Police Department says.

Officials said the abandoned house that caught fire as well as the abandoned house next door are known to be occupied by homeless people.

The officials said when they arrived on the scene no one was in the house that burned.

They don’t know the cause of the fire but they did say the fire “obviously did not start itself.”
