Fire at Roosevelt Night Club causes $20,000 in damages

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The State Fire Marshal is investigating after a fire at the Roosevelt Night Club Tuesday morning.

The Tallahassee Fire Department says that they responded to the Roosevelt Night Club in the 1800 block of Fairbanks Ferry road around 8:30 a.m. 

When they arrived, firefighters spotted flames coming from a shed near the back of the building as well as smoke coming from the club. 

TFD along with Gadsden County volunteer firefighters worked to extinguish the building. No injuries were reported on scene as crews continued to extinguish the flames.

Damages are estimated at $20,000. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Tallahassee Fire Department prevention division and the State Fire Marshal. Talquin Electric Company was on scene to assist TFD as well.
