JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Two teens believed to responsible for over 25 car break-ins in Grand Ridge and Parker, Fla. have been arrested.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says that over the last several weeks, they have has received many reports of vehicle break-ins in and around Grand Ridge.
They say they have received over 25 reports.
JCSO says that the incidents have happened on multiple occasions where the suspects would do a string of vehicle burglaries at a time early in the morning.
The suspects had targeted unlocked cars, where most had been sitting in the victim’s driveway at night. They say that they took various things to include multiple guns.
On May 30, investigators received information that the Parker Police Department near Panama City had arrested two suspects who were breaking into cars, similar to the ones that had occurred in Jackson County.
Deputies learned that both suspects provided a home address on Finely Ave. in Grand Ridge, Florida.
An investigation revealed that these same suspects were responsible for the string of car break-ins that had occurred over the past several weeks in Grand Ridge.
The suspects were 18-year-old, Darion Anthony Dawson III and another unnamed 15-year-old teen.
Investigators charged both Dawson and the juvenile with an two counts each of Armed Burglary of a Conveyance. They say more charges are pending.
Dawson is currently housed at the Bay County Jail, pending charges from the Parker Police Department. The unnamed teen has been committed to the Department of Juvenile Justice on Jackson County charges as well.
