GADSDEN COUNTY, FL. (WTXL)-- Two are dead after an early morning accident on State Road 8 near mile marker 168 heading West.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, Shelly Wight and Joseph Vinson were driving along the road when the front of their vehicle struck the left rear tire of the car in front of them.
This caused Wight and Vinson to travel off the road and collide with a tree on its passenger side. After impact, the vehicle rolled and landed on it's roof. Wight and Vinson were both pronounced dead on scene
According to reports from FHP, the two were not wearing their seat belts and it is unknown if either had consumed Alcohol.
No one in the other vehicle was harmed.
