(WTXL) - The Florida Highway Patrol this Monday is seeking an unknown driver who sped away after a stop for speeding and in doing so struck a trooper's holster.

Two troopers stopped a Nissan Altima for speeding on State Road 267 in Gadsden County at 1:29 a.m. Monday.

One trooper smelled marijuana while standing next to the driver's side.

The driver accelerated the vehicle, which struck a trooper's holster, and made a U-turn and fled away.

The trooper was not injured and his holster had no damage.

If anyone has any information, troopers say, please contact the Troop H Headquarters on Mahan Drive in Tallahassee at (850) 410-3046.
