TAYLOR CO., Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is reporting that on Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, Daniel T. Walker, 22, of Perry, Florida was driving a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta southbound on County Road 335 (Old Dixie Highway).
Troopers say Walker ran the stop sign at County Road 30 (Foley Road) and traveled through the intersection of Foley Road. They say he then exited the south side of Foley Road, drove into the woods and collided with multiple trees.
FHP says Walker was pronounced dead at the crash scene. The time of crash is pending investigation.
Troopers say alcohol results are pending and Walker was not wearing his seat belt. No other persons or vehicles were involved in the crash.
