JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida Highway Patrol was investigating a suspicious package at a rest area on I-10 eastbound.
The rest area location at I-10 eastbound mile marker 133 in Jackson County was closed and evacuated for precautionary reasons.
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office bomb Squad assisted and FHP says the rest area is now open, deeming the package safe.
