GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - An unknown person is on the loose after leading Florida Highway Patrol troopers on a chase in Gadsden County.

FHP said that a gray Mazda 3 was driving erraticly north of SR 63, going 87 miles per hour in a 55 zone.

Troopers said when they tried to pull the Mazda over, the driver sped up and started weaving through traffic, hitting another car and a trooper's car.

FHP said the mazda eventually turned down a private driveway, cutting through the woods and crashing into a ditch near the Havana Heights Apartments.

FHP said the driver then got out of the car and hopped the apartment fence.

Troopers were still looking for that driver Sunday night.
