LEON COUNTY, FL. (WTXL)-- A woman is critically injured after a late night accident on County Road 344, Saturday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, Austin Sapp was traveling west when he drifted on to the shoulder of the eastbound lane and collided with a drainage ditch. After hitting the ditch the car flew into the air for approximately 84 feet before landing and flipping several times along the shoulder.
FHP reports that Hannah Bass, the passenger, was ejected from the car at this point. The car then landed on its roof and came to a stop.
Bass and Sapp went to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital to receive medical attention. Bass was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident. Charges are pending.
