FHP arrests man for pointing handgun at another motorist

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Louisiana man has been arrested for pointing a handgun at another vehicle while traveling in Jackson County. 

The Florida Highway Patrol says that the incident happened around 1 p.m. Tuesday on I-10 at mile marker 158 (Sneads exit). 

They say an altercation between 34-year-old Christopher George Wilkinson of Laplace, La., and another driver escalated, resulting in Wilkinson pointing a gun at the occupants in the other car.

FHP troopers later stopped Wilkinson at a rest stop near mile marker 133.

After an investigation, they arrested him for the felony of aggravated assault with a firearm and the misdemeanor of obstruction without violence.
