TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Officials said though there were a few reports of premium and mid-grade gas shortages following the Colonial Pipeline leakage, there have been no reports of shortages for regular grade gas.

The communications director of the Florida and Georgia Retail Association James Miller said that there were a few shortages around town and that they expect all local gas stations to have every grade of gas available in the next couple of days.

"Florida’s petroleum providers saw the potential that the Colonial Pipeline leak could have on Florida consumers and changed their processes to receive gas via Bainbridge, GA, which resulted in few interruptions of service and ensured that almost all gas stations in our area would have adequate supplies," said Miller.

He also said that they have worked closely with Governor Rick Scott and the Division of Emergency Management and have communicated daily on the status of gas supply in the area.
