TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Starting Thursday, FEMA specialists will help shoppers find the best materials and repair options that are proven to withstand or at least take less damage during the event of a Hurricane or similar natural disaster.

FEMA specialists will be at the Home Depot on Capital Circle Northwest today through next Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

However, the team will at 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon on Saturday and will not be available on Sunday.

"We do try to partner up with those hardware stores and home improvement stores. We think it's important to provide this information so that they can build better and stronger for the next round of storms," said FEMA Media Relations Specialist Deanna Frazier.

There will be a table set up near the entrance with pamphlets and advice, as well as people walking around to help.
