FEMA offers free rebuilding and repair advice in Suwannee County

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - FEMA will be in Suwannee County to offer free information about ways people can make their homes safer and stronger following damage by Hurricane Michael.

Specialists with the Federal Emergency Management Agency will be on hand to answer questions and offer home-improvement guidance with proven methods to prevent or reduce damage from future disasters, a news release said.

Most of the information and the free publications are tailored for do-it-yourself work and general contractors.

In Live Oak, advisers will be at 2018 Old Tyme Farm Days, Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, 3076 95th Drive, on November 23 - 24 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

FEMA specialists can provide general guidance regarding flood-insurance policies and offer technical assistance to aid in recovery.
