TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - FSU is excited to introduce a graduate fellowship program to returned Peace Corps volunteers.

The Paul Coverdell Fellows Program offers scholarships to graduates seeking a master of social work degree. Students will receive an 11 hour tuition credit for fall and spring semesters.

Dr. Neil Abell says student volunteers inspired himself and the dean of the college to start the program.

Currently, 28 FSU Peace Corps volunteers are serving worldwide.

While in the Coverdell program, students complete internships in local communities.

Doctor Abell says, he hopes the opportunity rewards volunteers for the service they have already provided.
