FBI Search for Unknown Man to ID Child Victim in Sexual Abuse Case

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Investigators are asking for the public's assistance in finding a person who may have valuable information about the identity of a child victim in an ongoing sexual abuse case. 

The FBI has released photos and poster showing the unknown individual that they are calling John Doe 37. They said that the man may have critical information about a child they believe is involved in an ongoing sexual abuse. 

John Doe 37 is described as a while male with brown hair, wearing dark-framed glasses. 

Investigators said this man being sought as part of the FBI’s Operation Rescue Me and Endangered Child Alert Program (ECAP) initiatives, both of which represent strategic partnerships between the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Investigators also said videos of the unidentified male with a child were first recorded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in June of 2014. 

They said that though they are searching for John Doe 37, they are reminding the public that no charges have been filed in this case and the unidentified man is innocent until proven guilty in court.
