(WTOL) - Law enforcement officials are seeking information which will lead to the identification of an unknown man.
Police are calling the man John Doe 40.
John Doe 40 is believed to have critical information about the identity of a child victim in a sexual exploitation investigation, according to police.
A video showed the man with a child and could be heard speaking English in the video.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children first noticed the video in October 2017, and it is believed the video was produced before that date.
John Doe 40 is described as a white male aged 30 to 40 years old, heavyset with dark colored hair.
The man is being sought as part of the FBI’s Operation Rescue Me and Endangered Child Alert Program (ECAP) initiatives, both of which are partnerships between the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

No charges have yet been filed in this case.
